Love this mini video Royal Caribbean International did, yes indeed "The Sea is Calling," and it's for YOU!
Here are some great ideas by some of my friends on Polyvore of what is hot this summer, we can all agree that when we plan our vacations we look forward to do a little shopping for our trips well here is a little window shopping to get you started...enjoy ♥
What an Amazing short film directed by James Brolin, I believe it will bring a sentimental tear or smile to each one of my readers; Bravo James Brolin and Royal Caribbean!
Here is a slide show of my last two trips on the Liberty of the Seas the first one was a 2 day pre-inaugural trip with many happy industry leaders, and the other was a fantastic 7 day cruise for my daughters birthday. Although we had a great time in the ports, we actually enjoyed the days at sea as the ship has so much to offer it is hard to find time to do everything! The photo above was taken in Labadee, Haiti this is Royal Caribbean's private island, and before they completed the changes to accommodate the Oasis and Allure of the Seas, still it is a beautiful sanctuary.
At any given time you can have two, three even up to six ships stopping in Nassau, Bahamas they can be doing from 3 to 7 day cruises from ports such as Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Jacksonville, Galveston, Baltimore and several other embarkation ports, if you are on the east coast or near the Gulf of Mexico chances are there is a ship leaving from a port near you.
Excursions: "Dolphin Swim" experience at Blue Lagoon...
One of the most Popular shore excursions is a day spent at Blue Lagoon, additionally you can also participate in other excursions provided right there at Blue Lagoon such as the Dolphin Experiences now for those who prefer not to be in deep water or even for small children there is the "Dolphin Encounter " always held in shallow, waist deep water, usually on a platform. On the encounters you will get to pet the dolphins and see them do a few tricks up close. For those that prefer and even closer experience the "Dolphin Swims," is for you, usually you will be in waters of up to 30 ft although everyone is required to wear life vest. Since you are in smaller groups you do get to spend more time interacting with these amazing mammals; petting, feeding, dancing and "foot push," this is where the dolphin pushes you through the water with their noses on the bottom of your feet! Both types of Dolphin Swims can be found at Blue Lagoon and Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.
Next up for those that prefer to spend their day out of the water the Ardastra Gardens and zoo tours, with the famous marching flamingos. With over 300 species of mammals, birds and reptile, and an amazing 5.5 acres of forest trails, you get the opportunity to enjoy some of the gorgeous flora and fauna of the Bahamas.

This is my very 1st "Fabulous Food Friday's" and since I have been writing about The Bahamas we will start with the National food of The Bahamas "Conch." Bahamians have made this typically bland mollusk taste Oh so Good once they start adding all those island flavors! Although you can find conch made in many different ways (conch chowder, cracked conch, conch stew, conch cakes) a couple of the most popular would be Conch Fritters (usually eaten as an appetizer) and Conch Salad enjoy the video courtesy of Bahamas Breeze where even you too can learn how to prepare conch fritters. As for some of the popular libations the world famous "Bahama Mama," recipe so refreshing along with Kalik the beer of the Bahamas... ♥ Noemi
